Where does that episode now fit into the overall narrative? A few points from our commenters, too. Salady, meanwhile, questions just when the copy of Amy was made, because they argue it must be before she was pregnant. Ganger Amy has had no bump, after all, while real Amy is ready to give birth. So, have we ever had the real Amy, or has she been some kind of trap all along?

BlameSimon er, cheers! Lots to ponder, then. Plus, the question of when the Doctor pinpointed there was a problem. Simon Brew SimonBrew. Editor, author, writer, broadcaster, Costner fanatic. It is traditional to refer to the pre-revival episodes as "seasons" and the post-revival episodes as "series". This is how they're released on DVD as well, per-story. Show 4 more comments. Note that was likely soon after the previous season's finale; we know from the Doctor that Amy and Rory spent their wedding night on the TARDIS and she apparently got pregnant there, so it could have been any time after that.

Add a comment. The exact timeline hasn't been listed yet, but there are a few assumptions we can make. It has to be after the Pandorica events. There has to be enough time for The Church and Madame Kovarian to find out about the pregnancy and make a plan. Although it's most likely that Kovarian has time-travel capability on her own, "time" becomes a much more flexible requirement. The Doctor doesn't know about Amy's pregnancy until towards the end of Impossible Astronaut. Amy then tells the Doctor she was mistaken in Day of the Moon, three months later.

That means she had already been captured. Can you go into further detail when you think the swap happened during those episodes? Keen when else was Amy alone?
