I loved swimming off the rocks. Too bad the general store and canoe rental are outside the park — and the loud party boats off one of the beaches were kind of disruptive. Availability of some facilities and activities may be restricted to specific areas of the park, may be ecologically dependent, or may be seasonally weather dependent. When you visit: Continue to follow public health advice including practicing physical distancing by keeping at least two metres from others, wearing a face covering where required, when physical distancing may be a challenge or not possible and when entering indoor public spaces, and wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

The summers are warm, and autumn is especially beautiful. You can pick up basic camping supplies in Nobel, the town closest to the park. Parry Sound, a minute drive from the park, has a larger selection of shopping.
Be sure to bear-proof your campsite. Black bears are periodically spotted in and around the area. The Killbear region is home to the endangered Massasauga rattlesnake.
